VALUE CORE OF IDENTITY AND CIVISM CONSTRUCTION IN RUSSIA

Abstract

Background. The relevance of studying the origins of national identity and civism construction is explained by the objective complexity of balancing between the implementation of national standards and taking into account regional specificity when implementing educational policy in a multicultural state (on the example of the Russian Federation). The success of implementing a balanced educational policy determines the quality of learning of the country's human resources. Despite the presence of a regulatory framework in line with intercultural pedagogy and the relative elaboration of issues of the national identity сonstruction at the methodical level of teaching subjects and disciplines and general pedagogy, in the field of didactics there is an obvious gap in pedagogical knowledge that demands the researchers’ attention.

Purpose. Within the framework of this article, the author set the purpose to critically realize the origins of the national identity and civism construction in secular Russia.

Materials and methods. Based on the principles of humanization and humanitarization of education and following the cultural approach. The leading research methods were analysis, synthesis and modeling. The research materials comprised the works of the key actors of Enlightenment of the Soviet statehood early days – A.V. Lunacharskiy and N.K. Krupskaya, as well as the legal framework.

Results. The author confirmed the hypothesis that when formulating the value core of NI&CC in current agenda, we may rely on the foundations the above-mentioned scholars. The value core NI&CC is determined by the axiomatic understanding of the wealth of society, defined by unity in diversity, and is embodied in 2 clusters: the portrait of a teacher and the gist and semantics of the pedagogical process, the content of the core is revealed by the author based on the works of Soviet scholars.
