<abstract xml:lang="ru">

Background. The article examines issues related to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the system of higher humanitarian and pedagogical education. The possibilities of its integration into the educational process, as well as the risks associated with this phenomenon, are analyzed. The study employs analytical methods that allow for the comprehension of the existing body of theoretical and methodological information on the problem under consideration. The main idea is that providing high-quality education for various groups of students requires a shift in paradigms for the use of AI within the educational and instructional process of a humanitarian and pedagogical higher education institution, taking into account its social, psychological, and pedagogical characteristics. In recent years, artificial intelligence has become firmly embedded in various spheres of our lives. The authors argue that higher humanitarian and pedagogical education is no exception in this regard. A powerful impetus to these processes was provided by the pandemic, which contributed to the spread of online forms of learning and, to a certain extent, the forced adoption of various internet platforms. The process of personal socialization has acquired a new vector of development - socially approved by society and having gained the status of a vital necessity - which has gradually begun to be actively used in various spheres of human activity. Purpose. To analyze the phenomenon of artificial intelligence and the possibilities of its use in the system of higher humanitarian and pedagogical education. Materials and methods. Analysis of literature sources, including a review of scientific articles addressing the problem of AI use in higher education. Information retrieval technologies and analytical research methods were employed. Data from open internet sources were used to comprehend the body of existing theoretical and methodological information on the issue under study. Results. Artificial intelligence can become either a foundation for the development of humanitarian and pedagogical education or a “crutch” that hinders further progress. At present, the problem lies in the fact that AI, on the one hand, is quite widespread and used in various spheres of human activity, including humanitarian and pedagogical education, but, on the other hand, the specifics of its use are still closely tied to particular domains of human activity. Technologized production is one thing; the “human-human” sphere is another, where it is difficult to speak of absolute determinacy and algorithmization of activity (attempts by behavioral psychology in its early classical form failed). The use of AI within humanitarian and pedagogical education is associated with certain contradictions. It is necessary to understand that, when scaling high-quality education for different groups of students, AI must move from a technology-oriented paradigm to a human-oriented one - one that is not based on replacing humans with AI, but on the possibility of AI being used by teachers and students within a “living” educational process, with all its social, psychological, and pedagogical laws, patterns, and mechanisms of functioning and development. It is important to consider that the educational process itself is aimed at the assimilation, mastery, and understanding of information and, most importantly, at developing learners’ ability to use it further. What matters is not information as such, but the ways in which it is assimilated, understood, and used by a particular subject of the educational process and, especially, how it is subsequently transmitted by the teacher – not as a kind of stencil of a formal set of knowledge, but as content endowed with personal meanings embedded in the teacher’s own consciousness, enabling them to convey these meanings to another person through live, real communication in the course of their subsequent professional activity. Thus, one of the main tasks of humanitarian and pedagogical education is not only the use of AI tools, but also the study of the logic of human–AI interaction, the reduction of risks, and the expansion of the degrees of freedom of this alliance.
