Raoul Eshelman’s theory of performatism conceptualizes double framing as a mechanism for processing experience through the introduction of an external value frame and the subsequent reorganization of one’s internal relation to the situation. In a psychological context, this mechanism can be understood as a regulatory process influencing emotional organization and the restoration of agency.</p> <p>Purpose. To empirically examine the psychological mechanism of double framing and assess its impact on emotional regulation parameters and readiness for action.</p> <p>Materials and methods. The study involved 70 adult participants who worked with a single actual emotional experience, sequentially considering it through four value frames – Truth, Beauty, Goodness, and Justice – using the “Four Frames” method. Changes in the structure of emotional experience were assessed across several parameters, along with the choice of a concrete action after completing all four frames. Descriptive statistics and internal consistency analysis of the subtests were applied.</p> <p>Results. The findings show that after applying all four value frames, 97.1% of participants selected a specific action in relation to their emotional experience, indicating a shift from emotional passivity to agency. The most pronounced regulatory effects were associated with the frames of Goodness and Justice. The results confirm that value-based form constrains uncertainty, structures emotional experience, and contributes to enhanced emotional stability.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Обоснование. Полученные данные подтверждают, что ценностная форма ограничивает неопределённость, структурирует переживание и способствует повышению эмоциональной стабильности.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>переживание</kwd><kwd>эмоциональная регуляция</kwd><kwd>двойное кадрирование</kwd><kwd>перформ-терапия</kwd><kwd>перформатизм</kwd><kwd>ценностные рамки</kwd><kwd>агентность</kwd><kwd>саморегуляция</kwd><kwd>психологический механизм</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>emotional experience</kwd><kwd>emotion regulation</kwd><kwd>double framing</kwd><kwd>perform-therapy</kwd><kwd>performatism</kwd><kwd>value frames</kwd><kwd>agency</kwd><kwd>self-regulation</kwd><kwd>psychological mechanism</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Grebenyuk, A.
