      <trans-abstract xml:lang="en">

Background. The digital transformation of Russian schools has brought to the fore the task of methodologically correctly incorporating audiovisual media texts into the digital educational environment. At the same time, there is still a shortage of didactic models describing how to translate the artistic and narrative experience of viewing into educational activity, as well as criteria for evaluating the pedagogical effect of a film as an educational media text. Thus, modern pedagogical science needs new didactic concepts that explain how to effectively use digital resources in the educational process. Purpose. The goal is to provide a theoretical and methodological basis for integrating domestic historical cinema into the digital educational environment of Russian schools and to develop didactic models and criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of media texts. Materials and methods. The materials included regulatory and program documents on general education, departmental recommendations, and the Russian Ministry of Education's "Golden Collection of Films," as well as domestic and foreign research on media education, historical thinking, and formative assessment. The methodological tools include systemic and competency-based approaches, comparative-typological modeling, and pedagogical design of scenarios for working with films in a digital environment. Results. An invariant three-phase logic of educational activity (anticipation – controlled viewing – post-viewing analysis), a typology of didactic models (problem-analytical, discussion-value-based, project-research-based), a "semantic route" algorithm, and a criteria framework for assessing the effectiveness of historical media texts (historical and content accuracy and representativeness, didactic relevance, media pedagogical and psychological-didactic parameters) with diagnostics based on formative assessment, activity products, and educational analytics of digital traces. The developed models ensure the controlled integration of historical cinema into digital learning scenarios and expand the toolkit for evidence-based assessment of the pedagogical effects of media texts in Russian schools.
